What throw distance is needed for a 60-inch image with the Epson EB-FH06?
Between 1.62 m and 1.95 m, depending on the 1.2× optical zoom setting. Its throw ratio of 1.22 to 1.47:1 is short for a standard-throw model: it fills a large wall from an ordinary-sized living room, and can go up to 332 inches.
Is the EB-FH06 speaker enough to watch a film?
It delivers only 2 W: this is the weak point of the model, best kept as a stopgap. For a film or a match, plan on a soundbar or a speaker connected directly to the video source — set-top box, console or player — rather than to the projector.
What is the lamp life of the EB-FH06?
6,000 hours in normal mode, 12,000 hours in eco mode. These 12,000 hours are the equivalent of 18 years of viewing, based on one 1 h 45 min film a day with the lamp set to eco mode. The lamp is replaceable, under the reference ELPLP97.
Is the EB-FH06 bright enough to watch a match during the day?
3,500 lumens of white and colour brightness alike, 2,300 lumens in eco mode, with a 16,000:1 contrast ratio. Colours stay vivid without waiting for nightfall or fully closing the shutters, as 3LCD technology processes the three colours on three separate panels.
Which cable comes with the EB-FH06?
A VGA cable, along with the power cord, the remote control and its batteries, the quick start guide, the user manual on CD and the warranty card. For a console, a set-top box or a recent laptop, plan on an HDMI cable: the projector has two HDMI inputs.
Is Wi-Fi built into the EB-FH06?
It is optional: wireless projection requires an add-on network adapter, the ELPAP11. Without it, sources connect via HDMI, VGA or composite, and the USB Type-A port lets you play content from a USB flash drive.
Does the EB-FH06 image straighten itself automatically?
Vertical correction is automatic over ± 30°; horizontal correction remains manual, over ± 30°, with four-corner adjustment. Source search is automatic too: the projector switches to the active input by itself, without going through the menu.
Can the EB-FH06 display two sources at the same time?
Yes, the split-screen function shares the image between two sources. The A/V mute slide also lets you cut picture and sound in one move without switching the projector off — handy during a break or a discussion in a meeting.
What power consumption and noise should you expect from the EB-FH06?
286 W in normal use, with peaks of 327 W, and 0.3 W in standby, for 37 dB(A) in normal mode and 28 dB(A) in eco mode. Eco mode therefore acts on fan noise, power consumption and lamp life all at once.
Can the EB-FH06 be mounted on a living-room ceiling?
Yes, it is designed for the ceiling as well as for a coffee table, with the ELPMB23 mount as an accessory. At 2.7 kg for 302 × 252 × 92 mm, it can also be carried from one room to another, and an ELPKS69 soft carry case is available for this purpose.
Do you need a projection screen with the EB-FH06?
A light-coloured, smooth wall is enough to get started. A dedicated screen mainly improves contrast and edge sharpness: Epson offers portable models from 50 to 80 inches, in 4:3 or 16:9, designed to go with this projector.
Is the EB-FH06 projector new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. Quote the reference V11H974040 when ordering a part or an accessory: the ELPLP97 lamp and the ELPAF32 filter fit several models in the range, and the product reference removes any ambiguity.
