Is the EH-TW7100 true native 4K?
It uses 4K enhancement: each pixel is shifted diagonally to double the Full HD resolution, which displays a 3840 × 2160 image on screen. The result is noticeably sharper with 4K content, without being a native 4K panel. In 3D mode, resolution returns to Full HD.
Does the EH-TW7100's lens shift let you avoid drilling into the ceiling?
Yes, it is its main installation advantage: manual lens shift covers ± 60% vertically and ± 24% horizontally. The image is therefore repositioned optically, without distortion, whereas keystone correction works by digitally processing the image. You place the unit on an off-centre piece of furniture and bring the image back onto the screen.
What throw distance is needed for a 100-inch image with the EH-TW7100?
Between 2.95 m and 4.77 m, depending on the 1.62× optical zoom setting. The throw ratio ranges from 1.32 to 2.15:1, and the image can reach 500 inches. This leeway of nearly two metres for the same image size makes it easier to fit into an existing living room.
Do you see the rainbow effect with the EH-TW7100?
No. This effect — brief coloured flickers seen by some viewers in fast-moving scenes — is specific to single-chip DLP projectors with a colour wheel. This model uses 3LCD technology, which handles the three colours simultaneously on three panels: the phenomenon cannot occur.
Can you use a wireless soundbar with the EH-TW7100?
Yes, it has built-in Bluetooth with SCMS-T support: the soundbar or headphones connect without a cable running across the room. The built-in 10 W stereo speakers will do in the meantime, and an output jack remains available for a wired connection.
Does the EH-TW7100 handle HDR from films and consoles?
Yes, HDR10 and HLG. The 100,000:1 contrast ratio and 3,000 lumens of white and colour brightness deliver solid blacks without the image becoming dark. Frame interpolation kicks in on fast sequences — sport, video games — to reduce motion blur.
Is the EH-TW7100 quiet enough for a home cinema?
32 dB(A) in normal mode and 24 dB(A) in eco mode: this is the often-overlooked point of a living-room projector, where the unit sits a few metres from the viewers. Eco mode is doubly worthwhile here, since it also extends lamp life.
How long does the EH-TW7100's lamp last?
3,500 hours in normal mode, 5,000 hours in eco mode for a 250 W UHE lamp. In eco mode, that is about seven years at one 1 h 45 film a day. Power consumption is 323 W in normal use, with peaks of 387 W, and 0.5 W in standby.

Does the EH-TW7100 play 3D?
Yes, active 3D, with support for side-by-side and top-and-bottom formats and a depth adjustment. The frequency then rises from 240 to 480 Hz to alternate the images intended for each eye, and resolution returns to Full HD in this mode.
