No: the WAN port and the 4 LAN ports run at 10/100 Mbps. If your subscription is faster than 100 Mbps, the port will be the bottleneck, not the line.

Yes: it offers four modes — router, access point, repeater and WISP. So you can repurpose it as a repeater if you change your ISP router.
