This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Do you need an adapter to connect the Cloud III to a console?
No. The headset connects via a four-pole 3.5 mm jack in the CTIA format, the standard used by controllers, and it also accepts a USB connection. A USB-C to USB-A adapter is even included to cover both types of port.
Does the HyperX Cloud III work on Xbox Series X?
Yes. The list covers PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Mac and mobile devices. Few wired headsets span both console ecosystems so completely.
What frequency range does this headset cover?
10 Hz to 21 kHz, wider than the usual 20 Hz – 20 kHz. The 53 mm drivers are angled towards the ear canal, which helps position sounds, with distortion stated at under 2 %.
Does the mic on the black Cloud III come off easily?
Yes, the 10 mm boom is detachable. It is a noise-cancelling unidirectional electret capsule, protected by a mesh filter; with it removed, the headset becomes an ordinary pair of listening headphones.
Where are the volume and mute controls on this headset?
On the headset's control unit, with an indicator light that shows when the mic is muted. No need to open the game or system menus: both actions can be done without letting go of the controller or taking your eyes off the screen.
What recording quality does the mic achieve?
Up to 96 kHz at 24 bits over the USB connection, compared with 16 kHz on many headset mics. Its sensitivity is rated at -42 dBV and its usable range runs from 50 Hz to 17 kHz: enough to record a clean voice, not just to chat.
Does this headset need an amplifier?
Its impedance is 64 ohms, double that of a typical gaming headset: on a controller output, you will need to turn the volume up further. The USB connection, which provides its own conversion, settles the matter on PC and console alike.
Does the Cloud III actively cancel noise for the wearer?
No: the stated noise cancellation applies to the mic, in other words what your teammates hear. Your own isolation is passive — a closed-back over-ear design and memory foam ear cushions covered in soft leatherette.
Is the headset sturdy enough to be carried around every day?
Its frame is all metal, made of aluminium, and presented as resistant to travel and to knocks from handling. It weighs 308 g without the mic, 320 g with it, and measures 155 × 86.7 × 190 mm.
Are the supplied cables long enough for a tower on the floor?
The headset cable is 1.2 m long and the USB cable 1.3 m. That is designed for a controller or a machine sitting on the desk; for a tower on the floor, you will need an extension cable.
Is DTS spatial audio included at no extra cost?
Yes, HyperX states unlimited activation of DTS Headphone:X spatial audio: no subscription to renew. It places sounds in virtual 3D to sharpen the location of a footstep or a gunshot.
