How many speakers can you chain with the Samsung Sound Tower MX-ST40B?
Up to 10 compatible speakers, linked wirelessly to play the same music. Enough to cover a function hall or an entire terrace with several towers rather than pushing up the volume of just one.
Can the Sound Tower be used as a TV speaker?
Yes: it supports a Bluetooth connection to the TV, so there is no cable to run across the living room. A 3.5 mm audio jack remains available for sources that do not transmit wirelessly.
What do the Samsung Sound Tower MX-ST40B's 160 W deliver?
Power combined with bi-directional sound: sound is projected in two directions to fill the room instead of being concentrated towards the front. A Bass Boost button strengthens the bass at a single press when the party gets going.
What playtime is claimed for this sound tower?
12 hours on its built-in battery: it therefore works away from a power outlet, which is rare for a tower of this format. Its IPX5 rating also covers low-pressure water jets, for outdoor use.
Can you play music without a smartphone?
Yes: a USB port lets you play a flash drive directly, and a remote control is supplied to control playback from a distance. Two Bluetooth devices can also stay connected at the same time.
How do you adjust the Sound Tower's lights and effects?
From the Samsung Giga Party Audio app, which controls the light effects, the sound effects and the equaliser. Settings can therefore be adjusted from the dance floor, without going back to the speaker between tracks.
Is the speaker new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. The remote control is part of the package: keep it with the speaker, as it is what lets you control it from a distance without using your phone.
