Does the EncorePro HW710 plug directly into USB?
No. It ends in a QD (Quick Disconnect) connector and connects to a desk phone or a computer through a QD cord, to be planned for alongside the headset: it is the cord that determines compatibility with your set-up.
What is the Quick Disconnect connector for in everyday use?
For leaving your desk without taking off the headset or hanging up: the connector unclips in one movement in the middle of the cord and clips back in when you return. It is the gesture that makes quick trips away from the desk easier.
Why only one earpiece on this model?
Because it leaves one ear on your surroundings: at reception or on the switchboard, you hear visitors and the team while staying on the line. It is an organisational choice before it is a comfort choice.
Is the headset comfortable over a whole day of calls?
