Is the charging stand included with this Evolve2 75?
Yes. The part number says so: this version is sold with its charging stand, whereas the generic box contents for the range list a desk stand “depending on the part number”.
What is the real-world battery life of the Evolve2 75?
24 h of talk time is quoted, but 18 h with active noise cancellation and the busylight switched on — which is what real-world use looks like. A 15-minute charge gives back 4 hours of use.
How many microphones does the Evolve2 75 use?
Eight: four analogue MEMS and four digital. Beamforming technology makes them work together to isolate your voice, and four of them are dedicated to active noise cancellation.
Is the noise cancellation on the Evolve2 75 adjustable?
Yes, Jabra Advanced ANC technology can be set to 11 levels: you match the attenuation to your surroundings instead of putting up with a single setting. Conversely, HearThrough mode lets outside sounds in.
Can the mic boom be stowed away on this headset?
Yes, it is retractable and made of metal: pushed back in, it disappears into the ear cup and the headset becomes a regular pair of headphones again. That is what lets it go from a meeting to a commute without looking out of place.
How does the headset connect to the computer and the phone?
Through the supplied Jabra Link 390 Bluetooth adapter, already paired, on the computer side, and over direct Bluetooth on the smartphone side — both connections are held at the same time, up to 30 m. On Android, Google Fast Pair saves you going through the Bluetooth menu.
Can the busylight be seen from all sides?
Yes, it is visible through 360° and lights up during calls. The same lights signal an incoming call, when the headset is on its desk stand and, on the relevant versions, Microsoft Teams notifications.
Is the Evolve2 75 also good for listening to music?
Its 40 mm speakers cover 20 Hz to 20 kHz in music mode, compared with 100 Hz to 8 kHz in voice mode, with AAC and SBC codecs. AAC is the codec used by Apple devices and most music services.
At 197 g, is it still comfortable over a long day?
The ear cushions are made of dual-density foam covered in faux leather, and the headband gets a matching ultra-soft foam. The stated weight is 197 g for an on-ear design that rests on the ear.
How does this headset protect your hearing?
With PeakStop and Jabra SafeTone, in line with the European directive on noise exposure and the G616 recommendation against unexpected acoustic shock.
