How long does the JBL Tune 720BT last on a charge?
Up to 76 hours of wireless listening, with a full recharge taking 2 hours via USB-C. And if you are short on time, 5 minutes of charging gives you 3 hours of music.
Can you use these headphones with a flat battery?
Yes, a detachable jack cable comes with the headphones: plugged in, it lets you listen without battery power or connect to a device that has no Bluetooth. Being detachable, it can also be replaced if it eventually wears out.
What is the Voice Aware feature for?
It feeds your own voice back into the headphones during a call. Without it, you hear yourself poorly under closed-back headphones and end up talking too loudly: it is as much about courtesy as about comfort.
Can you keep two devices connected at the same time?
Yes, multipoint connection keeps your tablet and phone paired together: the headphones switch to the incoming call without re-pairing or opening the Bluetooth settings.
Can you adjust the Tune 720BT's equaliser?
Yes, from the JBL Headphones app, which gives access to the equaliser and its presets. The setting is then stored in the headphones, so you do not have to reopen the app every time you listen.
Where are music and calls controlled on these headphones?
On the ear cup: playback, volume and call-answer controls are grouped there, together with the microphone for hands-free calls. Your phone can stay in your pocket for the whole journey.
Does the Tune 720BT fold up for your bag?
Yes, they fold flat and weigh 220 g. Folded, they are about as thick as a book: these are headphones you take with you every day rather than a living-room model.
How good are the 40 mm drivers in these headphones?
They are large diaphragms that move enough air to deliver JBL's Pure Bass signature without the low end collapsing. That diameter is what separates proper listening headphones from a compact model.
Do these headphones actively cancel ambient noise?
No, there is no active noise cancelling on this model: attenuation comes from the seal of the ear cushions. That also explains the long battery life, since noise-cancelling electronics are the biggest power draw in a pair of headphones.
Are the black JBL Tune 720BT headphones new and under warranty?
