Professional UPS, convertible between rack and tower: line-interactive with voltage regulation, 2200 VA / 1980 W.
Technology & protection: it switches to battery the instant the power cuts out, absorbs surges and continuously corrects voltage fluctuations without drawing on the battery.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the Smart-UPS X 2200 run on battery?
25 minutes at 50% load, i.e. 990 W, and 16 minutes at 70%, i.e. 1386 W. That is very comfortable for a 2200 VA unit, and runtime can be extended with additional battery packs.
Can the Smart-UPS X 2200 be installed in a rack or as a tower?
Both: it is a convertible chassis 85 mm high (2U), 432 mm wide and 667 mm deep, weighing 37.3 kg. The rack mounting brackets are included.
Are all the outlets backed up by the battery?
Yes: eight C13 outlets, one heavy-duty C19 outlet and two IEC jumpers, all on battery backup. The input accepts a C20, Schuko or British connection, with a 1.83 m cord.
What voltage range does the Smart-UPS X accept?
140 to 280 V — a window considerably wider than the category average. On a mains supply that regularly sags, the AVR corrects the voltage without drawing on the battery, which remains available for real outages.
Why does 2200 VA give 1980 W on this model?
Thanks to a power factor of 0.9, almost all of the apparent power remains usable as watts. That is what sets a professional UPS apart from a desktop model, where the same 2200 VA would provide only 1200 W.
How do you monitor the Smart-UPS X 2200?
Via a USB port and an RS-232 cable, both included, and through a SmartSlot that accepts an optional network card. The software CD and the manual complete the package.
What does the UPS show during a power outage?
Two interfaces: an illuminated display with four indicators — online, on battery, replace battery, overload — and a more detailed multifunction LCD console. The audible alarms have configurable delays.
How long does the battery take to recharge?
3 hours, with a charging power of 233 W. This power is added to that of your equipment during recharging: take it into account on an electrical circuit sized with little headroom.
Is the APC Smart-UPS X SMX2200RMHV2U new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 3 years. It delivers a pure sine wave and stays below 55 dBA: install it in a rack or an equipment room. The datasheet covers the rest.
