Product overview

Professional UPS, convertible between rack and tower, with remote monitoring: line-interactive with voltage regulation, 3000 VA / 2700 W and an LCD display.
Technology & protection: it switches to battery the instant the power cuts out, absorbs surges and continuously corrects voltage fluctuations without drawing on the battery.
Power: 3000 VA for 2700 W of usable output.
Outlets: 8 C13 outlets + 1 heavy-duty C19 outlet.
Management: built-in network card to control and monitor the UPS remotely — essential in a server room. Runtime can be extended with an additional battery pack.
LCD display: it shows the load, battery level and remaining runtime at a glance — so you can monitor the UPS without any software.
Ideal, for example, for servers or business-critical network racks.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is the network management card included with this Smart-UPS X 3000?
Yes, a Web/SNMP management card is in the box, together with a temperature probe for monitoring the room temperature from the same interface. Remote management is therefore operational as soon as the unit is racked.
How long does this Smart-UPS X 3000 run on battery?
18 minutes at 50% load, i.e. 1350 W, and 11 minutes at 70%, i.e. 1890 W. Runtime can be extended with up to ten external battery packs, and a full recharge takes 3 hours.
How can a line-interactive UPS deliver 2700 W from 3000 VA?
Its power factor of 0.9 releases nearly all of the apparent power as watts. A desktop UPS at 0.54 would provide only 1620 for the same rated power.
Can the Smart-UPS X 3000 be plugged into a wall socket?
Yes: the input accepts a C20, Schuko or British connection, with a 2.44 m cord. No hard-wiring and no electrician needed for a UPS of this power.
Which output outlets does the UPS have?
Eight C13 outlets and one heavy-duty C19 outlet for high-current equipment. The rack mounting rails are included, as is an RS-232 cable.
What voltage range does the Smart-UPS X 3000 accept?
140 to 280 V — a window considerably wider than the category average. On a mains supply that regularly sags, the AVR corrects the voltage without drawing on the battery.
How much rack space does the UPS take up?
85 mm high, 432 mm wide and 667 mm deep, weighing 37.3 kg, in a convertible rack/tower chassis. This depth is the point to check in a shallow cabinet.
Is the APC Smart-UPS X 3000 with network card new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 3 years. It delivers a pure sine wave and is rated at 55 dBA: install it in a rack or an equipment room. The datasheet covers the rest.
