Does the JBL Charge 6 last 24 or 28 hours?
24 hours of normal listening, and 4 hours more with JBL Playtime Boost, making 28 in total — the playing time varying with the volume and content. A full recharge takes 3 hours at 12 to 20 V / 3 A, and 10 minutes gives back 150 minutes of playback.
Is the USB cable supplied with the JBL Charge 6?
No: the box contents list includes the speaker, the strap, the quick start guide and the warranty card, but no USB cable. Make sure you have a USB-C cable — the same port is used for charging, lossless listening and the power bank function.
How are the Charge 6's 45 W distributed?
30 W RMS for a 53 x 93 mm woofer and 15 W for a 20 mm tweeter, over a range of 56 Hz to 20 kHz (-6 dB) with a signal-to-noise ratio above 80 dB. AI Sound Boost analyses the signal in real time to keep distortion in check.
Can the Charge 6's power bank charge a laptop?
No, the manufacturer states it in black and white: the function is intended for a mobile device, not for a laptop. It will therefore top up a phone, a watch or earbuds while the music keeps playing.
What do you need to enjoy lossless audio on the Charge 6?
Three things: a source connected to the USB-C port, compatible lossless content from a supported service, and the software update released through the JBL Portable app. The function is therefore not active straight out of the box.
What can the JBL Charge 6 withstand outdoors?
It is IP68 rated: dustproof and tested for immersion in up to 1.5 m of fresh water for a maximum of 30 minutes. It also keeps working after a one-metre drop onto concrete.
Exactly how much does the Charge 6 weigh?
0.96 kg without the strap and 0.99 kg with it, for 228.8 x 98.5 x 94 mm — the stated weight of 1.37 kg, for its part, corresponds to the complete package. The strap is detachable: you remove it when the speaker stays in one place.
Can several JBL speakers be linked to the Charge 6?
Yes: two Charge 6 speakers pair in stereo via Auracast, and several compatible JBL speakers play the same playlist to cover a larger space. The connection uses Bluetooth 5.4, with A2DP 1.4 and AVRCP 1.6 profiles.
Can the Charge 6 be left in full sun?
It is better to place it in the shade: its maximum operating temperature is 45 °C. On a sun-exposed terrace in the middle of the afternoon, that threshold is quickly reached, and a shady spot is enough to stay within the intended conditions.
Is the speaker new and covered by a warranty?
