Does the JBL Flip 7 claim 14 or 16 hours of battery life?
14 hours of normal listening, and 16 hours with Playtime Boost switched on, which adjusts performance to gain two hours. A full recharge takes 2 hours 30 minutes.
What can the JBL Flip 7 withstand outdoors?
It is IP68 certified — dustproof and waterproof — and designed to survive a one-metre drop onto concrete. A trip to the mountains, a day at the beach or a building site are all within what it is designed for.
How are the Flip 7's 35 W split?
Between a 45 x 80 mm woofer and a 16 mm tweeter with a redesigned dome. This separation gives tighter bass and clearer treble than a single driver of the same power.
How do you attach the Flip 7 to a bag or a bike?
With the PushLock system: accessories lock in with a single press and can be swapped to suit the use. A loop and a carabiner are included in the box, which covers most ways of hanging it without buying anything extra.
What does the JBL Flip 7's USB-C port allow?
Lossless listening: connected to a compatible computer or player, the speaker receives a digital signal that is not compressed by Bluetooth. You do, however, need a supported lossless source and audio service for the benefit to exist.
Can several JBL speakers be linked to the Flip 7?
Yes: two Flip 7 speakers pair in stereo to widen the soundstage, and several Auracast-compatible JBL speakers link up wirelessly to play the same playlist, to cover an entire garden or terrace.
What is the JBL Flip 7's grille made of?
A woven recycled fabric, chosen to withstand rubbing in a bag and sand without losing its shape. The housing itself contains mostly recycled plastics, and the packaging is made of FSC-certified paper.
Is the speaker new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. The JBL Portable app then gives access to firmware updates, support and customisable audio settings.
