This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the black Cloud III S really last 120 hours?
Up to 120 hours on 2.4 GHz and up to 200 hours on Bluetooth, two figures measured at 50% volume in continuous playback. 2.4 GHz mode uses more power because it prioritises responsiveness for gaming.
Does this headset have a mic you can use without the boom?
Yes, a second mic is built into the ear cup: it is an omnidirectional MEMS capsule, designed for going out without the boom. The boom itself is a 10 mm unidirectional electret with a mesh filter and a mute indicator.
How do you switch from 2.4 GHz mode to Bluetooth?
With a wireless mode switch on the headset, next to the volume wheel, the mic mute button and a multifunction button for playback and calls. Everything is set without going through software.
Does instant pairing work on all PCs?
No: Instant Pair, which does away with the USB dongle, is reserved for select OMEN laptops. Everywhere else, you use the supplied 2.4 GHz dongle or Bluetooth, with no loss of functionality.
Is DTS spatial sound available on consoles?
No: DTS Headphone:X spatial audio runs through the NGENUITY software, which is limited to Windows 10 and later. Its activation, however, is unlimited, with no subscription. On PS5, Mac or mobile, the headset works without this spatial audio.
What is in the box with the wireless Cloud III S?
Six items: the headset, the detachable mic, the wireless dongle, a USB-C to USB-A adapter, a USB charging cable and the guide. The adapter comes in handy when the machine has no free USB-C port.
How long does it take to recharge this HyperX headset?
5 hours for a full charge, via a 0.5 m USB-C to USB-C cable. Set against the 120 hours of gaming claimed, it works out at one recharge every two or three weeks of sustained use.
Which devices does the Cloud III S work with?
HyperX lists it as compatible with PC, Mac, PS5, Nintendo Switch and mobile, with a wireless range of up to 20 m. On the Bluetooth side, the supported codecs are SBC and AAC-LC.
Is this headset sturdy enough for travel?
Its structure combines a stainless steel frame and aluminium forks, described as resistant to travel and wear. The headset weighs 340 g, the boom 12 g and the wireless dongle 4.3 g.
Does the Cloud III S actively cancel room noise?
No, there is no active noise cancellation. Isolation comes from the closed circumaural design and the memory foam cushions covered in leatherette. The 53 mm angled drivers are rated at 64 ohms, with stated distortion below 2%.
