Frequently asked questions about this product

Is the charging stand included with this Engage 55 SE?
Yes, this part number includes it: you place the headset on its stand between calls instead of plugging in a cable. The Link400a USB adapter and a travel pouch also come with the headset.
How much freedom of movement around the workstation?
Up to 150 m over DECT around the adapter plugged into the computer. Partition walls reduce this range, but it easily lets you leave your desk without interrupting the call.
Why is DECT better than Bluetooth here?
The link is dedicated to voice and its security goes beyond level C, the highest of the DECT levels. It does not share the Wi-Fi band and holds its range where Bluetooth drops out after a few metres.
Two microphones: what difference do they make in an open-plan office?
The dual noise-cancelling microphone compares what each capsule receives to isolate your voice from the background chatter. It picks up from 100 Hz to 10,000 Hz, with wideband audio optimised for speech.
How long does this headset last on calls?
Up to 13 hours, a figure given with the busylight switched off — the Busylight uses some power when it is on. A full recharge takes 90 minutes, and 30 minutes is enough to get back to 40%.
Which platforms does this UC model work with?
It is Zoom certified and compatible with Google Meet, Amazon Chime, Works with Chromebook and the main UC platforms. This is the UC version; the MS variant is the one certified for Microsoft Teams.
What happens when the battery ages?
It can be replaced by the user: the lithium-ion battery is designed to be swapped. For a fleet of headsets used eight hours a day, this avoids buying new equipment after two years.
83 g on the head: how comfortable is it over a full day?
The headset is on-ear: the ear cushions rest on the ear and the weight is spread across both sides. The speakers cover 40 Hz to 16,000 Hz, well beyond what voice requires.
Is the ear protected from sound spikes?
Yes: PeakStop and Jabra SafeTone 2.0, with compliance with the European directive on noise at work and the G616 standard. The protection covers both spikes and average exposure.
Is this Jabra Engage 55 SE Stereo UC new and under warranty?
Yes, new in its original Jabra packaging, with the Link400a adapter, charging stand and pouch included. Your invoice serves as the warranty document and covers 1 year for part number 9659-415-111.
