Frequently asked questions about this product
Does a carrying case come with this Live 670NC?
Yes: the headphones are foldable and a carrying case is included, along with a detachable audio cable. That is the kit of headphones meant for the bag rather than the desk.
What battery life do these headphones offer in each mode?
50 hours with noise cancelling on, 65 hours without it. Go by the 50 hours: that is the mode of real-world use. And 5 minutes of charging gives 4 hours of listening.
How does the noise cancelling adapt to your surroundings?
Four mics continuously measure ambient noise and the correction follows the actual level, rather than a fixed setting. Moving from an office to a busy street therefore requires no adjustment.
Does the music stop when you take the headphones off?
Yes: playback pauses when you take them off and resumes when you put them back on. Your podcast no longer keeps playing while you talk to someone, and the battery does not drain for nothing.
Can you hear what is around you without taking the headphones off?
Yes, Smart Ambient mode lets outside sounds back in: an announcement, a colleague, the traffic. You keep the headphones on to reply, then go back to noise cancelling.
Do these headphones sit on the ear or surround it?
They sit on it: these are on-ear headphones weighing 219 g, with a fabric headband and foam cushions. More compact than a model that surrounds the ear, but with less passive isolation.
What does the spatial sound on these headphones bring?
It turns stereo content into virtual surround, whatever the source: the soundstage widens on a film or a game instead of staying centred between your ears.
Can the headphones stay connected to two devices?
Yes, multipoint keeps two Bluetooth devices paired at the same time, and 2 beamforming mics handle calls by picking up the voice in line with the mouth.
Are the JBL Live 670NC headphones in Sand new and under warranty?
Yes, new and genuine, with a 1-year warranty provided by the invoice. The full measurements are given in the JBL datasheet.
Three microphones per ear and wind-cutting processing keep the voice intelligible mid-run. Up to 12 h of listening from the earbuds with noise cancelling off, and 48 h in total with the case.
•6 microphones and a wind-cutting algorithm for calls
•Adaptive active noise cancelling
•12 h of listening from the earbuds with noise cancelling off, 8 h with it on
Swapping cables takes a second: 3 m straight in the studio, coiled in the field. The 40 mm drivers with neodymium magnets reach up to 24 kHz, and the ear cups swivel 90° for one-ear monitoring.
The silicone ear hook with memory wire bends to any ear shape and stays put during exercise. 10.5 g per earbud, touch controls and Ambient Aware mode to stay aware of the road.
Two battery regimes: 10 h from the earbuds alone and 40 h in total with the case, noise cancelling on; 12 h and 48 h with it off. Ambient Aware and TalkThru let outside sounds back in.
More than 100 hours of wireless battery life, and recharging that does without a cable: just set it on a base. Foldable for long journeys, with an M button to customise from the app.
•More than 100 h of wireless battery life
•Wireless recharging on a base, or via the included USB-C cable
More than 30 h of listening in total with the case, 7 h of that for the earbuds alone, and the case also recharges wirelessly. Simultaneous connection to two devices, and playback stops as soon as you take an earbud out.
•7 h of listening per charge, more than 30 h in total with the case
The JBL Headphones app tunes the equaliser to your taste, and Voice Aware lets you hear your own voice during a call. Connected to two devices at once, 220 g on the head, 76 hours of stated listening.
The red light comes on as soon as you are on a call: your colleagues know not to interrupt you. Unidirectional boom microphone that folds up when not in use, and a 3.5 mm jack to connect a phone or tablet too.
One earcup swivels 90° to listen with a single ear and keep the other on the booth, the DJ's gesture. Response reaches 22 kHz and isolation stays tight: the same model moves from mixing to tracking to the booth.
Two beamforming microphones on an extended boom filter out office noise during calls. Up to 20 h of listening or 16 h of talk time, and 5 minutes of charging gives back 1 h of call time.
•Up to 20 h listening, 16 h talk time
•Fast charging: 5 min for 1 h of call time
