This product is covered for 2 years by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is Windows preinstalled on the ThinkPad E16 Gen3 22AY001GFE?
No: the machine boots into FreeDOS, without Windows. Plan for a Windows 11 licence and an installation USB drive, or a Linux distribution. The hardware remains fully compatible — the fingerprint reader and the infrared camera are waiting for the operating system before they can be used to sign in.
Is the 16 GB of RAM in the ThinkPad E16 Gen3 22AY001GFE expandable?
No. On this Lunar Lake version, the LPDDR5X-8533 memory is soldered to the motherboard, with no slot at all, and runs in dual-channel mode. Capacity is therefore chosen at purchase — a constraint specific to this platform, not shared by every version of the ThinkPad E16.
Can you add a second SSD to the ThinkPad E16 Gen3 22AY001GFE?
No, this version has only a single M.2 2280 slot in PCIe 4.0 x4, occupied by the 512 GB SSD. It does, however, accept a drive of up to 1 TB: upgrading therefore means replacing the drive, by cloning the existing one, rather than adding another.
Does the ThinkPad E16 Gen3 22AY001GFE have an RJ45 network port?
