Which network card comes pre-installed on this Smart-UPS X 3000?
The AP9631, APC's second-generation network management card with environmental monitoring. A temperature probe is supplied with it: the room's temperature and humidity are reported in the same interface as the UPS status.
Does this Smart-UPS X 3000 deliver 2700 W of usable power?
Yes, thanks to a power factor of 0.9: almost all of the 3000 VA can be used in watts. That is the figure to compare with the combined power draw of your servers.
What outlets does the UPS have, on the input and on the output side?
On the output side, eight C13 outlets and two heavy-duty C19 outlets. On the input side, a C20, Schuko or British connection, with a 2.44 m cord — longer than average, which is useful in a rack.
Can this model be installed in a rack or as a tower?
Both: a convertible chassis measuring 178 × 483 × 432 mm and weighing 38.6 kg, with the rack-mount rails included. At this weight, rack installation is a two-person job.
What voltage range does the UPS accept?
140 to 280 V, at a frequency automatically detected as 50 or 60 Hz ±3 Hz. This wide range avoids needless transfers to battery on a grid that regularly sags.
What does the UPS show during a power cut?
An illuminated display with four indicators — on-line, on battery, replace battery, overload — backed up by a multifunction LCD console. The audible alarms have configurable delays.
Is the output a sine wave?
Yes, the output is a sine wave, and the battery is a sealed, maintenance-free lead-acid battery with suspended electrolyte, recharged in 3 hours.
Is the APC Smart-UPS X 3000 with SNMP card new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. It is designed for servers and critical infrastructure, with network and environmental monitoring ready to use from the moment it is commissioned.
