Product overview

Professional UPS for servers, with remote monitoring: line-interactive with voltage regulation, 3000 VA / 2700 W, rack form factor.
Technology & protection: it switches to battery the instant the power cuts out, absorbs surges and continuously corrects voltage fluctuations without tapping into the battery.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is the Web/SNMP management card built in?
Yes, a Web/SNMP management card is built into the UPS — that is what the letters “NC” in the reference indicate. Remote monitoring is operational as soon as the unit is installed in the rack.
How long does the SMT3000RMI2UNC run on battery?
11 minutes at 50% load, i.e. 1350 W, and 6 minutes at 70%, i.e. 1890 W. The sealed lead-acid battery then recharges in 3 hours.
Are all the outlets on the SMT3000RMI2UNC battery-backed?
Yes, all twelve: eight C13 outlets, one heavy-duty C19 outlet and three IEC jumpers. The inlet accepts a C20, Schuko or UK connection — no hardwiring needed.
How can a line-interactive UPS claim 2700 W for 3000 VA?
Thanks to a power factor of 0.9, which makes almost all of the apparent power available in watts. A desktop UPS at 0.55 would offer only 1650 for the same stated rating.
Where should the SMT3000RMI2UNC be installed?
In an equipment room: it is rated at 55 dBA, which is clearly audible in a workspace. Allow for 44.2 kg — 51.6 kg with packaging — when handling it.
Is the output a pure sine wave?
Yes, the output is a pure sine wave, synchronised with the mains at 50/60 Hz ± 3 Hz. That is what the power-factor-corrected power supplies of servers require.
What does this model's line-interactive technology correct?
It automatically adjusts the voltage to compensate for mains fluctuations, without switching to battery mode — so the battery stays full for real power cuts. The input frequency is detected automatically.
Is the APC Smart-UPS SMT3000RMI2UNC new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 3 years excluding the battery, the battery being covered for 2 years. It is CE, IRAM, VDE, EAC and RCM certified. The datasheet covers the rest.
