What is the hub for Rally Mic Pods used for?

To connect the microphones in a star layout rather than in a daisy chain: it has three inputs for mic pods or other hubs. Each microphone goes wherever the table requires, without depending on its neighbour.

Does this hub really reduce cabling on the table?

Yes, that is its purpose: the cables run under the tabletop to the hub instead of crossing the table from one microphone to the next. The visual appearance of the room depends directly on it.

Can the setup be extended beyond three microphones?

Yes: the three inputs accept both mic pods and other hubs. Hubs can thus be chained to equip a large conference table.

Is this hub needed to add a microphone to a Rally system?
