Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Voyager 4320 need to be paired with the computer?
No. The supplied BT700 dongle plugs into a USB-A port and the headset is recognised. The smartphone, for its part, connects directly via Bluetooth, without going through the dongle.
How far can you move away from your desk with this headset?
Up to 50 m of wireless range: you stay on the call while fetching a file or joining a colleague at the other end of the floor. That is the main practical difference from a wired headset.
How long does the Voyager 4320 last on calls?
Up to 24 hours of quoted talk time — enough to cover several days of calls between two charges. This is genuinely talk time, not mere standby time.
What is the Acoustic Fence technology on this headset?
It is the processing that reduces unwanted noise around the microphone: built into the boom, it focuses sound pick-up on your voice and leaves out the bustle of the floor. The person you are talking to hears a conversation, not an open-plan office.
Are two ear cups the right choice in a call centre?
They shut out the background chatter and help you concentrate on the call. The trade-off is that you hear your team less well: the stereo version suits focused work, a mono version suits reception.
Is this headset suitable for the office as well as on the move?
Poly designs it for the office and mobile use: the BT700 dongle equips the desktop workstation, and the direct Bluetooth link follows you on your mobile. The 50 m range and 24 hours of talk time cover both uses.
