Does the charging stand come with this Teams certified version?
Yes, this reference is supplied with its charging stand: you set the headset on it between calls, with no cable to plug in. A carrying case comes with the set.
How much freedom of movement does this headset give you?
Up to 50 m of wireless range: you stay on the call while fetching a file or joining a colleague at the other end of the floor. That is the main practical difference from a wired headset.
Does it need charging every evening?
24 hours of talk time and 47 hours of music: two separate figures, the first being the one that matters for a workstation. A full charge takes 1 h 36 min.
Can you keep making calls with a flat battery?
The headset switches to USB wired mode: the conversation continues over the USB connection instead of the wireless link. Poly presents this mode, together with the charging stand, as the way to extend talk time.
What is Acoustic Fence on the mic boom for?
It is the processing that reduces unwanted noise around the microphone: built into the boom, it focuses sound pick-up on your voice and leaves out the bustle of the floor. The person you are talking to hears a conversation, not an open-plan office.
Why a stereo version rather than mono?
Two ear cups shut out noise and help you concentrate on calls as well as music. The trade-off is that you hear your team less well: the mono version exists for reception and the switchboard.
Does the headset also connect to a mobile phone?
Yes, the headset connects directly via Bluetooth to the phone, in addition to the dongle plugged into the computer. It supports the hands-free and A2DP profiles, so calls and music alike.
