Is the supplied BT700 Bluetooth dongle USB-C or USB-A?
USB-C: this 76U50AA reference comes with the BT700 Type-C adapter, as does its charging cable. So check that your computer has a free USB-C port. The headset, for its part, connects to your smartphone in parallel over Bluetooth 5.1, without using a port.
What is the real talk time, and does the indicator light reduce it?
Yes, noticeably: 24 hours of talk time with the call indicator light turned off, but 18 hours when it is on. Allow 47 hours of music listening and up to 50 days on standby; a full recharge takes less than 1.6 hours. A voice alert announces the remaining battery life during calls.
What if the battery runs flat in the middle of a day of calls?
You keep working: the Voyager 4320 has a USB wired mode that carries audio over the included 1.5 m USB-C cable and extends the battery life accordingly.
Can it be used with both a computer and a mobile phone?
Yes: the headset connects to the computer via the BT700 adapter and directly to the smartphone over Bluetooth 5.1. It remembers up to 8 paired devices, with the A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP profiles, and voice alerts announce the connection status.
Will the people I talk to hear the open-plan office noise around me?
That is exactly what the microphone boom deals with: Acoustic Fence technology reduces the background noise around your voice, backed by two noise-cancelling microphones. The microphone's frequency response runs from 100 Hz to 6.8 kHz.
How far can you move away from your desk without dropping the call?
Up to 50 metres with the included BT700 adapter: you can answer and walk down the corridors without losing the conversation. An indicator light flashes on the ear cup to show the people around you that you are on a call. With the Voyager Office base, the range goes up to 91 m.
Does the headset protect your hearing over a full day of calls?
Yes, it includes SoundGuard acoustic protection. For comfort, it is a stereo on-ear model with faux leather ear cushions, whose two ear cups help shut out background noise. Mute is activated with a dedicated button, with voice confirmation.
Can you also listen to music with it, or is it for calls only?
It does both: the A2DP and AVRCP profiles are supported, with 32 mm speakers covering 20 Hz to 20 kHz and up to 47 hours of playback. Listening is in stereo, on both ears, and the volume is adjusted from the ear cup.
Does it work with a Mac, an iPhone or an Android phone?
Yes: Windows 11 and 10, macOS, Android and iOS are supported. Siri and Google assistants can be triggered from the headset, and the power on/off, answer/end call, mute, volume and pairing controls are all on the ear cup. Voice alerts signal maximum volume or low battery.
