How long does the HyperX Cloud II Core Wireless last?
Up to 80 hours per charge, which amounts to several days of gaming. A full recharge takes 4 h 30 min: you plug it in once a week rather than between sessions.
How does this headset connect to the device?
Through a 2.4 GHz wireless link with the supplied USB adapter, for a stated range of 20 metres. It is a dedicated link, separate from Bluetooth, designed for responsiveness in games.
Does this headset's mic detach?
Yes, it is detachable and noise-cancelling: plugged in for gaming, removed for listening to music. Volume and mute, for their part, are adjusted directly on the ear cup.

What does DTS Headphone:X spatial audio bring?
It places sounds around you rather than between your two ears, which helps you pinpoint a direction in a game. The speakers are 53 mm with neodymium magnets, a generous diameter for a gaming headset.
Is this headset built to last?
Its frame is aluminium, which makes all the difference on the part that breaks first — the headband. The headset weighs 293 g, with over-ear memory foam ear cushions.
Does this headset actively cancel room noise?
No: the advertised noise cancellation applies to the mic, in other words to what your teammates hear. Your own isolation remains passive, provided by the memory foam ear cushions that surround the ear.

Swapping cables takes a second: 3 m straight in the studio, coiled in the field. The 40 mm drivers with neodymium magnets reach up to 24 kHz, and the ear cups swivel 90° for one-ear monitoring.
Three microphones per ear and wind-cutting processing keep the voice intelligible mid-run. Up to 12 h of listening from the earbuds with noise cancelling off, and 48 h in total with the case.
