Do the ear cups of this Voyager Surround 85 enclose the ear?
Yes, they are over-ear: the ultra-soft ear cushions surround the ear instead of pressing on it. It is this shape, combined with adaptive ANC, that lets you truly shut out your surroundings.
Does this headset have a mic boom?
No: ten built-in microphones replace it — six pick up your voice, four feed the adaptive noise cancellation. Nothing sticks out in front of your face on video calls.
What is the battery life of the Voyager Surround 85?
21 h of talk time and 24 h of music: two separate figures, the first being the one that matters at a workstation. A full recharge takes only one hour.
Which cables are supplied with this headset?
Two: a USB-A to USB-C cable and a 3.5 mm jack to USB-C cable. The second allows wired listening, including on a device that only has a headphone jack. A charging base completes the kit.
Where are the controls on this boomless headset?
On the ear cup, as touch controls: gestures replace buttons, which goes hand in hand with a headset that has neither a boom nor an in-line control unit on the cable.
How does the carbon fibre shell change the way it feels to wear?
It lightens the structure: Poly combines carbon fibre, an adjustable headband and ultra-soft ear cushions for lightweight all-day wear, on a 275 g headset.
Which devices does this headset work with?
