A desktop UPS to protect a complete workstation and its peripherals: line-interactive with voltage regulation, 1500 VA / 865 W and sine-wave output. Technology & protection: it takes over on battery the moment the power fails, absorbs surges and continuously corrects voltage dips and spikes without drawing on the battery — clean, stable power at all times. Power: 1500 VA for 865 W of genuinely usable power — enough to run a PC, one or two monitors and their accessories. Outlets: 10 C13 output outlets (the connector used on computer power cords). Sine-wave output, perfectly suited to the power supplies of recent computers. Ideal, for example, for an office or creative workstation, a small server or a NAS. How long does the BR1500GI run on battery?
12 and a half minutes at half load, i.e. about 430 W, and 3 minutes 40 seconds at full load, at 865 W. Its reserve reaches 187 VAh — enough to finish a backup and shut down a workstation properly.
How many outlets does the BR1500GI have?
Ten C13 outputs, plus two IEC jumpers — that is a lot for a desktop UPS, and enough to cover a complete workstation with its peripherals. The input is via a C14 cord.
Can the BR1500GI battery be changed without switching anything off?
Yes, the APCRBC124 cartridge is hot-swappable: neither the UPS nor the connected devices need to be shut down. Its rated service life is up to 5 years and a full recharge takes 8 hours.
Is the output of the BR1500GI a sine wave?
Yes, the waveform is a sine wave, with a crest factor of 3:1 and a rated efficiency of 98.9%. Switchover to battery takes 10 to 12 milliseconds.
Does the BR1500GI protect the phone line and the network?
Yes: surge protection covers the phone line, modem, fax, digital line and network, and an RJ-11 cable is included. Electrical energy absorption reaches 441 joules.
Over what voltage range does the BR1500GI correct without using the battery?
Between 156 and 300 V, a wide range that copes with an unstable grid. Within it, the automatic regulator brings the voltage back to its normal value without switching to battery, which stays full for real power cuts.
Can the BR1500GI shut down the PC by itself?
Yes, through its USB port and the PowerChute Personal Edition software, both supplied with the cable: the computer shuts down cleanly when the battery runs low. Two separate alarms signal low battery and overload.
Can the BR1500GI be switched on without mains power?
Yes, cold start is possible: the UPS starts up on its battery alone, with a power cut already under way. An automatic self-test checks the condition of this battery periodically.
