Frequently asked questions about this product
What is the difference between this Rapoo headset's two connections?
2.4 GHz, via a dedicated receiver, is aimed at gaming: the connection is stable with no noticeable lag. Bluetooth covers everything else — phone, tablet, music — without having to carry the receiver.
What battery life does the Rapoo VH800 offer?
Up to 46 hours per charge, which covers several days of gaming or listening. That is high endurance for a headset with RGB lighting, since lighting is usually the biggest drain on the battery.
Does this headset's mic come off?
Yes, it is detachable and noise-cancelling: attached for team play, removed once the game is over. The headset then becomes a listening headset again, with no boom sticking out.
What difference does a graphene diaphragm make?
Graphene is very stiff and very light: the diaphragm follows the signal without deforming, which limits distortion as the volume goes up. Here it measures 40 mm, the usual diameter for a gaming headset.
Is this headset's lighting visible in-game?
It is on the ear cups, in RGB: it is a visual flourish, seen by others rather than by yourself. On a headset also intended for live streaming, that counts as much as the sound.
Is this headset suitable for anything other than gaming?
Yes: it is presented for gaming and multimedia use, with a lightweight ergonomic design intended for long sessions. Bluetooth mode makes it usable with a phone on the go.
Is the Rapoo VH800 headset new and under warranty?
Yes, new and genuine, with a 1-year warranty provided by the invoice. Keep it: it is all you need for any workshop repair.
One earcup swivels 90° to listen with a single ear and keep the other on the booth, the DJ's gesture. Response reaches 22 kHz and isolation stays tight: the same model moves from mixing to tracking to the booth.
•Ear cups swivel 90° for one-ear monitoring
•15 Hz – 22 kHz response
•40 mm drivers with neodymium magnets and CCAW voice coils
The red light comes on as soon as you are on a call: your colleagues know not to interrupt you. Unidirectional boom microphone that folds up when not in use, and a 3.5 mm jack to connect a phone or tablet too.
The JBL Headphones app tunes the equaliser to your taste, and Voice Aware lets you hear your own voice during a call. Connected to two devices at once, 220 g on the head, 76 hours of stated listening.
Two beamforming microphones on an extended boom filter out office noise during calls. Up to 20 h of listening or 16 h of talk time, and 5 minutes of charging gives back 1 h of call time.
Thirty-five hours in total with the case with noise cancelling off, and 20 h with it on. Silicone wingtips hold the earbud without pressing, from the sofa to a run, and an ambient sound mode keeps you in touch.
•35 h in total with the case without noise cancelling, 20 h with it
More than 30 h of listening in total with the case, 7 h of that for the earbuds alone, and the case also recharges wirelessly. Simultaneous connection to two devices, and playback stops as soon as you take an earbud out.
•7 h of listening per charge, more than 30 h in total with the case
No dedicated amplifier needed: it plugs straight into a smartphone, a tablet or a laptop with no loss of volume. The 50 mm drivers cover 10 Hz to 25 kHz and the 3 m cable can be replaced if it breaks.
Wired business headset with HD sound: the noise-cancelling mic on a boom rotating through 270° keeps the hubbub out, and the dynamic equaliser switches by itself between calls and multimedia. Call and volume controls on the cord.
Two battery regimes: 10 h from the earbuds alone and 40 h in total with the case, noise cancelling on; 12 h and 48 h with it off. Ambient Aware and TalkThru let outside sounds back in.
Plugged in over USB-C, it carries the sound as well as recharging. Up to 75 hours of listening without noise cancellation, 45 hours with, and the app offers 8 equalisers and 3 isolation modes.
•Adaptive hybrid active noise cancellation, up to 43 dB attenuated
•Microsoft Teams certified
•Two earcups — you shut out the background noise

Two beamforming microphones on an extended boom filter out office noise during calls. Up to 20 h of listening or 16 h of talk time, and 5 minutes of charging gives back 1 h of call time.

Up to 35 h of conversation and 30 m of range. Three microphones isolate your voice from office noise, the oval memory foam cushions filter out what surrounds you, and the busy indicator stays visible from every angle.
Up to 30 m of Bluetooth range, 16 h of talk time and a simultaneous connection to the computer and the smartphone. In an open-plan office, the Busylight indicator turns red as soon as you are on a call.
Laser-tuned drivers and a built-in equaliser: the stereo sound stays crisp and free of distortion, for calls as for music. The mic boom tucks into the headband when not in use.
More than 100 hours of wireless battery life, and recharging that does without a cable: just set it on a base. Foldable for long journeys, with an M button to customise from the app.
Plugged into a USB port, it works with no driver to install. The microphone boom swivels through 270° to move from one ear to the other, and the in-line remote sets the volume and mutes the microphone.
It plugs into a computer as easily as a tablet or a smartphone, with nothing to install. Rotating noise-cancelling microphone to wear on the left or the right, volume and mute on the cable.
The JBL Headphones app tunes the equaliser to your taste, and Voice Aware lets you hear your own voice during a call. Connected to two devices at once, 220 g on the head, 76 hours of stated listening.
For video meetings and everyday calls, in stereo: a noise-cancelling microphone on a swivelling boom that folds away when not in use, and volume and mute controls right on the cable. Nothing to install.
