How long does the Cadu 850 run on battery?
2 minutes 30 seconds at half load, i.e. 240 W, and 1 minute at 75%. On the other hand, with a light load of 120 W, it lasts nearly 21 minutes: this is a model to size generously if you want time to spare.
Can the Cadu 850 shut down a Synology NAS by itself?
Yes, it is stated to be compatible with Synology NAS devices and has a USB HID port: connected to the NAS, it triggers its clean shutdown when the battery runs low, with no additional software to install.
Are both outlets on the Cadu 850 battery-backed?
Yes, both Schuko outlets are powered by the battery — neither is limited to surge protection. You plug your devices into them directly, with no adapter or IEC cord.
Why do 800 VA give only 480 W?
