Non-contractual photos

The visuals on this page are supplied by the manufacturer. They are frequently produced for a whole range — not for the exact model you are viewing: what you see in the photo is never a promise of what is included.

No exchange, return or cancellation will be accepted on the grounds that something seen in a photo (accessory, port, colour, keyboard layout, packaging…) is not found on the delivered product. Only the specifications written on the page are binding for the order.

What the image does not guarantee:

  • Display : the icons, apps and wallpapers shown are simulations; the real interface depends on the software version delivered.
  • In the box : charger, earphones and cable often appear in the images although manufacturers no longer supply them.
  • Version sold : one image serves the whole range: storage capacity, memory, connectivity (4G, 5G, Wi-Fi only) and colour are those of the title and the specifications.
  • Features : the number of camera sensors, a fingerprint reader, dual SIM, a stylus or wireless charging cannot be inferred from the photo.
  • Protection : cases, tempered glass and straps photographed are not included unless stated.
  • Colour : one image often serves several colours, and the shade you see depends on studio lighting as much as on your screen settings; the colour sold is the one in the title and the specifications.
  • Props and accessories : the items shown around the product (cables, stands, decorative objects, content displayed on screen) are not included unless explicitly stated.
  • Packaging : boxes, labels and bundles change with the manufacturer's revisions: the packaging delivered may differ from the one in the photo.

What is binding: the product title, this page's technical specifications, the description and, when provided, the manufacturer's PDF datasheet available in the downloads.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Galaxy A16 take a memory card, and up to what capacity?
Yes, up to 1.5 TB in microSD. Note, however, that the tray is hybrid, with the card taking the place of the second nano-SIM. You therefore have to choose between a second number and extra storage.
How fast does the Galaxy A16 charge?
It supports 25 W fast charging on its 5,000 mAh battery, a typical rated value. This is the usual power in this segment: it lets you top up a good share of the battery during a break, without tying up the phone.
Is the Galaxy A16 water resistant?
Its IP54 rating covers dust and water splashes, not immersion. It therefore withstands a downpour and wet hands, but not a bath, a swimming pool or a rinse under the tap — a step below IP67 and IP68.
What resolution does the Galaxy A16 film in?
In Full HD 1920 × 1080 at 30 frames per second, with slow motion at 120 fps in HD. This resolution covers everyday uses and produces files that are much lighter to store and share than 4K — something that matters day to day.
What can you capture with the Galaxy A16's three cameras?
The 50 MP f/1.8 covers everyday shots with autofocus; the 5 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide widens the field of view; the 2 MP f/2.4 macro allows close-up focusing. Zoom, for its part, is digital up to 10x and crops the image.
Does the Galaxy A16's front camera have autofocus?
No, its focus is fixed: the 13 MP sensor has an f/2.0 aperture, a fairly wide value that helps indoors, but you need to hold the phone at arm's length to get a perfectly sharp portrait.
Does the Galaxy A16 have stereo sound?
Sound goes through a single speaker, with no stereo output. Headphones or a speaker bring back the soundstage for a film or a game. Wireless connectivity relies on Bluetooth 5.3, and the USB-C port runs at USB 2.0.
Does the Galaxy A16 support contactless payment?
Yes, it has an NFC chip: once your card is registered in a compatible app, the phone takes its place at the payment terminal. Positioning also relies on GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo and QZSS.
How many years will the Galaxy A16 be updated?
Six years of Android and security updates. It is a remarkable commitment for a model in this category, and it sets how long the device will stay protected and compatible with recent apps.
Does the Galaxy A16 offer a desktop mode on an external screen?
This feature, Samsung DeX, is not supported by the Galaxy A16: no windowed desktop will appear on a monitor connected to the phone. It remains designed for strictly mobile use, with Smart Switch for data transfer.
What colours does the Galaxy A16 come in?
In green, silver and black, with identical dimensions whatever the colour: 164.4 × 77.9 × 7.9 mm and 200 g, with the same 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display and the same 5,000 mAh battery.
Is the Galaxy A16 new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document you will be asked for when making a warranty claim.
