How much power does the Onyx Studio 8 deliver?
50 W RMS, produced by a 120 mm woofer and two 20 mm tweeters, over a range of 50 Hz to 20 kHz. It is a portable living-room speaker, built for a whole room rather than for desktop listening.
How long does the Onyx Studio 8 play unplugged?
Up to 8 hours depending on volume and content, and a full recharge takes 5 hours. It is designed to move around the house, with no cord holding it back, rather than for a full day outdoors.
Does the speaker adjust to where it is placed?
Yes: automatic calibration adapts the sound to the room. Against a wall, in a corner or in the middle of a table, it corrects its balance without any intervention.
Can you take a call with the Onyx Studio 8?
Yes: a dual microphone picks up your voice from a distance, so you can talk from anywhere in the room. Two devices can also stay connected to the speaker simultaneously.
Can you pair two Onyx Studio 8 speakers?
Yes, wirelessly, for a wider stereo sound: each speaker takes one channel. It is the intended way to expand the setup later, without replacing the speaker you already have.

By its anodised aluminium handle, which also acts as a stand — it holds the speaker at an angle on a piece of furniture. The housing is made of recycled plastic and polyester.
