Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition work wirelessly?
No, it is fully wired on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. It comes with a detachable 3 m USB Type-C cable: the length lets you play from a sofa, and the cable detaches for transport. It is this wired design that guarantees a lag-free connection, essential in competition.
What is the controller's actual polling rate on Xbox and on PC?
250 Hz on Xbox and 1,000 Hz on PC, provided Tournament Mode is enabled. It is activated from the Razer Controller app or directly on the controller with Function + Menu + A; you return to standard mode with Function + Menu + X. Tournament Mode only applies to wired play on PC.
What are the 6 extra buttons for, and can they be remapped?
All six are remappable: 4 rear buttons with mouse-click actuation, built into the ergonomic textured grips, and 2 bumper buttons positioned for a claw grip. Their assignment is changed in the Razer Controller app.
Is the trigger travel adjustable?
Yes. Two locks accessible on the underside of the controller switch the triggers from ultra-precise analogue control to instant zero-travel actuation, like a mouse click, for rapid fire. Haptic vibrations accompany every trigger press.
Are the sticks likely to start drifting after a few months?
They are designed to prevent it: these are magnetic sticks advertised as anti-drift, mounted on anti-friction rings with pro-grade materials. They are also smoother, lighter and more durable than traditional analogue sticks, and their sensitivity can be customised in the Razer Controller app.
Is the D-pad interchangeable?
No, it cannot be removed. It is an 8-way mecha-tactile floating D-pad, mounted on fast microswitches with a comfortable rubber membrane: actuation is crisp and the tactile feedback distinct, but the D-pad remains the original one. The action buttons are built on the same mecha-tactile base.
Can you plug a headset directly into the controller?
Yes, the Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition has an audio output: a wired headset plugs into the controller itself. It is the same feature as on the Wolverine V3 Pro, the high-end version in the series.
Do you need to install a driver to use it on PC?
No. You plug the 3 m cable into the PC, the drivers install automatically and you can start playing straight away. The Razer Controller app, available on both Xbox and PC, is then used to remap buttons, adjust stick sensitivity and save a custom profile.
What is the difference from the Wolverine V3 Pro?
The Pro adds wireless, a carrying case, interchangeable stick caps and a more advanced haptic system. The Tournament Edition keeps the essentials — 6 remappable buttons, Hall effect analogue triggers with stops, mecha-tactile action buttons and audio output — but is wired only.
Is the controller new and under warranty?
Yes: new, in its original packaging, reference RZ06-05550100-R3M1 (EAN 8887910082171), supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 1 year. It is a controller produced under official Xbox licence, compatible with Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. The detachable 3 m USB Type-C cable is included.
