Frequently asked questions about this product

What is the Teams button on this Adapt 160T ANC for?
For joining a meeting at the press of a button: the headset is Microsoft Teams-certified and UC-optimised, and the dedicated button opens the application and switches the audio over. No more hunting for the meeting window when it is time to go live.
Can active noise cancellation be switched off when you want?
Yes, a button on the headset switches ANC on or off. It is digital feedback noise cancellation: it measures the noise reaching your ear in order to cancel it out, and switches off when you want to stay aware of the room.
Where does the mic boom go when you are not on a call?
It flips up and folds discreetly into the headband: the headset becomes a pair of headphones again, with no boom in front of your mouth. That is what makes it presentable on a video call as well as on the train.
Which port does this Adapt 160T ANC plug into?
Into a USB-C port, plug-and-play on PC and Mac alike. The cable is detachable and measures 1.78 m: it carries the call controls, and can be replaced on its own if it gets damaged.
Which controls are on the cable?
Volume, microphone mute and call answer, plus the ANC button on the headset. Everything is done without going back to the meeting software window.
What is in the box of this Adapt 160T ANC USB-C?

Is this headset also suitable for music between calls?
Yes: the neodymium magnet speakers cover 20 to 20,000 Hz, and sound profiles switch automatically between voice and multimedia. The microphone, for its part, picks up from 100 to 8,000 Hz.
145 g: is that heavy for an office headset?
That is the weight of this binaural version with faux-leather ear cushions, the most enveloping of the series — with the noise-cancellation electronics on top. The headband is adjustable, the design is on-ear, and the ear cushions rest on the ear.
Is this headset easy to carry around?
Yes, the ear cups fold flat and the boom disappears into the headband: the whole thing lies flat in the supplied pouch and slips into a laptop bag without straining the headband.
Can the volume rise to dangerous levels in your ear?
No: sound pressure is capped at 115 dB by EPOS ActiveGard, which clips unexpected spikes. A workplace noise limiter compliant with European regulations can also be switched on.
Can this headset be configured from the computer?
Yes, with EPOS Connect for the firmware and audio preferences, and EPOS Manager to manage an entire fleet remotely. That is also where the workplace noise limiter is switched on.
Is this EPOS Adapt 160T ANC USB-C new and under warranty?
Yes, new in its original EPOS packaging, pouch and cable included, with a 2-year warranty on part number 1000221, your invoice serving as proof. The manufacturer's document for the Adapt 100 series details all the measurements.
