How many hours does this 1061 ANC last with noise cancellation on?
19 hours of talk time with noise cancellation on, against 20 hours without. On standby, the gap widens: 50 hours with ANC on, 300 hours without.
How does this headset's noise cancellation work?
It is hybrid and adaptive: it measures noise both outside and inside the ear cup and continuously adjusts the compensation. It is one of the EPOS BrainAdapt technologies, designed to reduce cognitive fatigue in open-plan offices.
Is the inductive charging stand included with this 1061 ANC?
Yes, the CH 40 wireless charging stand comes with the 1061 variants: you set the headset down on it, with nothing to plug in. Allow 2 h 30 on the stand, 1 h 30 via the USB-C cable.
How do you connect this Bluetooth headset to the computer?
With the included BTD 800a dongle, pre-paired: plugged into a USB-A port, it spares you manual pairing, and the stated range reaches 30 m. The link is Bluetooth 5.3.
Can you keep three devices connected at the same time?
Yes: the computer through the dongle, plus two Bluetooth devices, making three simultaneous connections. A call coming in on the mobile can be taken without leaving the meeting under way on the PC.
How do you signal that you are on a call?
The 360° busy light comes on during the call and stays visible from all sides. On an open-plan floor, it is the signal that stops a colleague from coming to talk to you in the middle of a conversation.
Can you reply to a colleague without removing the headset?
Yes, thanks to TalkThrough: the feature lets surrounding voices through so you can exchange a few words, then you return to normal listening. The headset stays on your head.
Do you have to look for a button to take a call?
No: moving the mic boom or taking the headset off is enough to answer, hang up or mute the mic. The smart features replace pressing a key.
How good are the mics of this 1061 ANC in an open-plan office?
They are four adaptive digital MEMS mics driven by EPOS AI: they follow your voice and reject ambient noise, over a range of 100 Hz to 16 kHz.
What is in the box of this IMPACT 1061 ANC?
The binaural headset, the CH 40 wireless charging stand, the soft pouch, the BTD 800a Bluetooth dongle, a 1.2 m USB-C cable and the safety and compliance sheets.
181 g: can you wear it all day?
It is the heaviest version in the series, as the noise-cancellation electronics come on top of the two earpieces. The headband is padded and the ear cushions are soft and breathable, precisely for extended wear in open-plan offices.
