How does this IMPACT 1061T charge on its stand?
Without plugging it in: the supplied CH 40 stand charges by induction; simply place the headset on it at the end of a call. Allow 2 h 30 min on the stand and 1 h 30 min via the USB-C cable for a full charge.
How much talk time does this headset offer?
Up to 20 hours of talk time, with noise cancellation off — enough to cover two days of calls before going back to the stand. On standby, it lasts 300 hours.
How does this headset connect to the computer?
Through the supplied BTD 800a Bluetooth dongle, already paired: plug it into a USB-A port and the headset is recognised. The link is Bluetooth 5.3, with a range of about 30 m.
Can you stay connected to your phone and your computer at the same time?
Yes, triple connectivity keeps three devices connected simultaneously: the computer via the dongle, the mobile and a tablet via Bluetooth. You take whichever call comes in, whatever its source.
How do colleagues know I'm on a call?
Through the busy light visible through 360°: it lights up during the call and can be seen from every side of the headset. That is what stops people interrupting you mid-conversation in an open-plan office.
Do you need to take the headset off to talk to a colleague?
No, the TalkThrough feature lets the voices around you through: you answer a colleague without removing the headset or stopping what you are listening to, then go back to the call.
Can you answer without touching a button?
Yes: moving the mic boom or taking off the headset is enough to answer, end or mute a call. The gesture replaces the button, which saves you hunting for the right key when the phone rings.
How do the microphones of this IMPACT 1061T perform in an open-plan office?
There are four adaptive digital MEMS microphones, driven by EPOS AI: the system tracks your voice and rejects the noise of the office floor. They pick up 100 Hz to 16 kHz, well beyond the telephone band.
Is this headset suited to Microsoft Teams meetings?
Yes, the T variant is Microsoft Teams certified and UC optimised, compliant with the Teams Open Office specifications. The speakers cover 20 Hz to 20 kHz, in super-wideband stereo sound.
