Do you need to install a driver for this PC 7 USB?
No: the headset has its own built-in USB sound card and is plug-and-play on PC and Mac alike. That is what makes it easy to roll out for remote work or online classes.
Why only one earpiece on this model?
To keep one ear free for what is going on around you: the doorbell, a child, a colleague. The mono format also makes the headset lighter and less tiring over long sessions.
Does the microphone filter out room noise?
Yes, it is unidirectional and noise-cancelling: it picks up what comes from your mouth and minimises the rest, over a range of 90 to 15,000 Hz. That is what keeps your voice clear on video calls.
Can the ear cushions on this PC 7 be replaced?
Yes, replacement ear cushions are available as spare parts. That is what extends the life of an entry-level headset: the foam wears out long before the electronics.
How long is the cable on this USB headset?
