How much does the Engage 50 II Duo weigh, including the control unit?
152 g in total for the stereo version, of which 65 g on the head: the rest is the cable and the controller, which rest on the desk. It is the first figure that matters for comfort.
What is the motion-sensing SmartRinger?
A ringer built into the controller that alerts you even when the headset is lying on the desk, and detects your movements to know whether you are there. Without it, a call that comes in during a break goes unnoticed.
Does the headset know when it is being worn?
Yes, the Engage 50 II has wear detection: it tells a headset being worn from one lying down. This is what allows the ringer and the lights to react at the right moment.
Why three microphones on this call centre headset?
The 3-MEMS-microphone system separates your voice from the hubbub of the open-plan office: that is what lets the person you are talking to hear only you, on a floor where ten people are speaking at the same time.
Does the headset isolate the wearer from noise?
Yes, through a noise-isolating design: the faux leather on-ear cushions form a physical barrier. This is passive isolation, separate from the processing applied to the microphone.
Can you listen to music with the Engage 50 II?
Its 20 mm speakers cover 50 Hz to 20 kHz in music mode, compared with 100 Hz to 14 kHz in conversation mode. It is a headset built for voice — the diameter is a reminder of that — but it is not limited to it.
What do the lights on the Engage 50 II indicate?
The busy light, which lights up during calls, an incoming call and, on the relevant versions, Microsoft Teams notifications.
Which platforms is this UC version compatible with?
Jabra states Cisco, Unify, Zoom, Google Meet, Amazon Chime and Works With Chromebook. This is the UC variant, multi-platform, as opposed to the model dedicated to Microsoft Teams.
What is in the box of the Engage 50 II UC Duo?
The headset, the USB controller that serves as the call control unit, a storage pouch and the warranty leaflets. The headset combines faux leather, PC and ABS plastics, silicone rubber, TPE and stainless steel.
How does this headset protect an agent's hearing?
With Jabra SafeTone 2.0 and PeakStop, the combination that limits average exposure and cuts out unexpected acoustic shocks. At a workstation with back-to-back calls, this is what prevents exposure from building up over the hours.
