Frequently asked questions about this product

At 899 g, how do you carry the MSI Prestige 13 AI+?
Without giving it a thought: 899 grams for 299 × 210 mm and 15.9 mm thick, i.e. under one kilo for a full-featured 13-inch laptop. With a 65 W USB-C charger, the whole kit fits in a slim laptop bag or even a large handbag.
Is an 899 g laptop sturdy?
This one meets the MIL-STD 810H military standard: it has passed a series of durability tests covering, among other things, shocks, vibrations and temperature variations. To achieve this, the chassis combines aluminium and magnesium, which are more rigid than plastic at the same thickness.
How good is the OLED screen of the MSI Prestige 13 AI+?
2880 × 1800 pixels on 13.3 inches in a 16:10 format, OLED, covering 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space and certified VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600. It is a panel made for creative work: blacks are truly switched off and colours are accurate enough for photo editing.
Is the OLED screen of this Prestige 13 tiring on the eyes?
MSI highlights two treatments certified by SGS on this panel: blue light reduction and flicker-free operation. The second addresses a classic criticism of OLED panels, whose brightness control can cause flicker that is invisible yet tiring over long days.
Can you add memory to this MSI Prestige 13 AI+?
No. The 32 GB of LPDDR5x is built into the motherboard, in dual-channel mode: that is what allows this chassis to get down to 899 g. The configuration is therefore final, but 32 GB already provides ample headroom for creative work as well as multitasking.
Does this MSI Prestige 13 AI+ have a memory card reader?
Yes, a microSD reader is built in — handy for offloading the card from a camera, a drone or an action camera. It comes with two USB-A ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports and an HDMI 2.1 output capable of driving 4K at 120 Hz.
How do you sign in to this MSI Prestige 13 AI+ without a password?
Two ways: the fingerprint reader and the infrared Full HD webcam, which recognises your face. A physical webcam shutter covers the lens when not in use, and the fTPM 2.0 module handles drive encryption.
Is this MSI Prestige 13 AI+ equipped for video calls?
Yes. It combines a three-microphone beamforming array, the AI Noise Cancellation Pro feature, which filters sound over 360°, and an infrared Full HD webcam with HDR and 3DNR+ noise reduction. Enough to take calls from a noisy place without a headset.
What do you charge the MSI Prestige 13 AI+ with?
With a 65 W USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 charger, plugged into one of the two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Its 4-cell 53 Wh battery supports fast charging, and the same port handles both power and display output to an external monitor.
