1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the MSI Modern 14 F1MXG come with Windows preinstalled?
No, it comes with FreeDOS, without Windows. Plan to install your own licence or a Linux distribution before first use. Everything else is ready: backlit AZERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi 6E, wired network port and card reader.
Can you add memory to this MSI Modern 14 F1MXG?
Yes. The 16 GB takes up only one of the two possible memory modules: the second slot is free, and total capacity can reach 64 GB of DDR5-5600. That is a real upgrade path on a 1.5 kg ultraportable.
Can you replace the SSD in this MSI Modern 14 yourself?
MSI explicitly refers any SSD upgrade to a service centre. The chassis also has only one M.2 PCIe Gen4 slot, taken by the 512 GB drive: increasing storage means replacing this drive, not adding a second one.
How good is the Core 7 150U in this MSI Modern 14?
The U suffix denotes Intel's low-power range, built for battery life and quiet operation. This Core 7 150U has 10 cores, 12 threads and 12 MB of cache, with a peak of 5.4 GHz: office work, web browsing and video calls in parallel pose it no problem at all.
Does this MSI Modern 14 have an Ethernet port and a card reader?
Yes to both, which is rare on a 1.5 kg 14-inch laptop: a Gigabit Ethernet port and a microSD reader. On top of these come three USB-A ports, one USB-C port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery 3.0, an HDMI output and a headphone jack.
Can you charge this MSI Modern 14 through its USB-C port?
Yes, the Type-C port supports Power Delivery 3.0. The supplied adapter is a 65 W unit, but a USB-C charger of equivalent power or a docking station can also power the machine, whose 3-cell battery is rated at 46.8 Wh.
How good is the webcam on this MSI Modern 14?
It is an HD 720p camera at 30 frames per second, protected by a physical cover. It is fine for an occasional call but falls short of Full HD webcams; for daily meetings, an external webcam makes a clear difference to the image.
At 1.5 kg, is this MSI Modern 14 easy to carry?
