This product is covered for 2 years by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Does the F2-425 include hard drives?
No, it is a diskless enclosure with 2 hot-swap bays: 3.5"/2.5" hard drives or 2.5" SSDs are to be chosen and ordered separately, up to 30 TB per drive.
What does the "N" in the Intel N5095 processor mean, and how powerful is it?
The "N" suffix denotes Intel's low-power range, designed for a NAS that runs 24/7 without noise or excessive heat. This quad-core processor reaches up to 2.9 GHz: enough for automatic backup, file sharing and 4K video transcoding in the background.
What network speed does the F2-425 offer?
One 2.5 GbE Ethernet port, more than double the speed of a standard Gigabit port — useful for speeding up backups and reading large files over the local network.
Can the F2-425 play 4K videos directly?
Yes, it has built-in 4K hardware transcoding (H.264, H.265, MPEG-4, VC-1) at 60 fps to stream videos to devices that cannot natively play these formats.
Can the F2-425 be used for video surveillance?
Yes, through TerraMaster's Surveillance Manager: it connects several ONVIF-compatible IP cameras for centralised management, live viewing and automatic recording to the NAS.
Does the F2-425 have M.2 NVMe slots to speed up access?
No, the F2-425 has no M.2 slot: unlike the F2-425 Plus, it cannot be accelerated with an SSD cache. Its 2 SATA bays remain the only storage area.
How long does it take to replace a hard drive in the F2-425?
Less than 10 seconds, thanks to the tool-free push-lock tray: the drive clips into place automatically on insertion, with no risk of accidental disconnection.
Can the F2-425 memory be expanded?
Yes, the F2-425 comes with 4 GB of DDR4 in its single SODIMM slot, expandable up to 16 GB by replacing the module.
Which RAID modes does the F2-425 support?
Single disk, RAID 0, RAID 1, JBOD, as well as TerraMaster's proprietary TRAID, which lets you expand the volume online without reformatting everything.
Is the F2-425 quiet?
Yes, 19 dB(A) in standby with 2 drives installed (measured at 1 m) — a discreet level for use in a living space.
