1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Faulty straight out of the box? Some brands offer an immediate exchange, others a repair. Contact us to find out what applies to your product.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does this HP 250 G8 come with Windows?
No. It ships with FreeDOS, a free system used only to boot the machine. A Windows licence must be bought and installed separately, or you can install a Linux distribution. This choice accounts for part of the price difference with an equivalent configuration sold with Windows preinstalled.
Can the memory in this laptop be upgraded?
Yes. The machine has two SODIMM slots, only one of which is occupied by the 8 GB DDR4-2666 module supplied. You can therefore add a second module to reach 16 GB, or replace the one already fitted. Storage is a 512 GB NVMe PCIe SSD, which can also be replaced.
Does this laptop have a wired network port?
Yes. It has an RJ-45 port connected to a Realtek Gigabit 10/100/1000 controller, which is becoming rare on slim laptops. The connections also include two USB-A ports at 5 Gbps, one USB-C port at 5 Gbps, an HDMI 1.4b output, a combo headphone/microphone jack and a memory card reader.
Is the screen suitable for long working sessions?
Yes for office work, with one reservation. The 15.6-inch Full HD panel is IPS and anti-glare, which widens viewing angles and limits reflections indoors. Its brightness of 250 nits is modest: near a very bright window or outdoors, the display will lack readability.
What is the battery life of this HP 250 G8?
The battery is a three-cell 41 Wh HP Long Life lithium-ion unit, powered by a 45-watt HP Smart AC adapter. On a 15.6-inch machine with a low-power U-series processor, this capacity equates to a day of light office work, less under sustained use or with brightness at maximum.
