The ATM510 is a handheld cardioid dynamic microphone designed for clear, natural vocal reproduction. It connects over XLR to any microphone input, without phantom power, and keeps up with touring thanks to its all-metal body.

Less handling noise, less feedback

A fully redesigned internal shock mount reduces handling noise and noise transmitted by the stage. The cardioid pattern picks up the front and attenuates the sides and rear: the voice is better isolated from other sources, and its off-axis rejection limits feedback. The multi-layer grille protects against plosives and sibilance without dulling the highs.

Made for touring

All-metal body, steel grille, gold-plated corrosion-resistant XLR contacts: the ATM510 is built to last. Its rare-earth neodymium magnet gives high output and good attack response, from 90 Hz to 16 kHz, with a sensitivity of -55 dB.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the ATM510 need phantom power?
No. It is a passive dynamic microphone: it works on any XLR microphone input, whether phantom power is switched on or not. Its output is a 3-pin XLR connector with gold-plated, corrosion-resistant contacts, and its impedance is 300 ohms. No cable is supplied.
Does the ATM510 limit feedback on stage?
That is the purpose of its cardioid pattern: it picks up the front and attenuates what comes from the sides and rear, with excellent off-axis rejection. Its internal shock mount also reduces handling noise and noise transmitted by the stage.
What is in the ATM510 box?
The microphone, an AT8470 Quiet-Flex clamp for 5/8"-27 threaded stands, a threaded adapter to 3/8"-16 and a protective pouch. Plan for a 3-pin XLR cable and a microphone stand. The microphone weighs 258 g for 170 mm in length and 53.7 mm in diameter.
