Does the HP LaserJet M141a printer print in colour?
No, it is a monochrome laser printer (black and white only). It performs three functions: printing, copying and scanning.
What connectivity does the HP M141a have?
It connects via USB only (1 Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port). This “a” model has no Wi-Fi and no Ethernet; if you want Wi-Fi, look at the M141w version.
Is the USB cable supplied with the HP LaserJet M141a?
No, the USB cable is not supplied; it must be bought separately. The software is downloaded from hp.com or 123.hp.com (no CD).
Does the M141a print double-sided automatically?
No, duplex printing is manual: you have to turn the sheet over yourself. The tray holds up to 150 sheets.
Which toner does the HP M141a use, and for how many pages?
It uses HP 150A (W1500A) toner, rated at about 975 pages. A starter toner of about 500 pages is supplied in the box.
Can you use non-HP cartridges in the M141a?
Worth knowing: the printer has a dynamic security feature and is designed to work only with cartridges that have an HP chip (new or reused). Firmware updates may block non-HP chips.
Can the HP M141a copy an ID card?
Yes, it offers easy ID card copy (both sides on the same side of a sheet), in addition to settings for number of copies, lighten/darken and enlargement (25 to 400%).
Which formats can you scan to with the M141a?
Flatbed scanning (up to A4, 600 dpi) outputs JPG, PNG, TIFF, BMP and PDF. With the HP Smart app, you can also scan from a smartphone to the cloud.
What print volume can the HP M141a handle?
Its duty cycle goes up to 8,000 pages/month, with a recommended volume of 100 to 1,000 pages/month: it is aimed at home or occasional use.
Which paper sizes and weights does the M141a accept?
