What is the toner yield of the imageRUNNER 2930i?
The C-EXV 67 black toner is rated at approximately 33,000 A4 pages at 6% coverage — the benchmark for an ordinary letter. In an office printing 4,000 pages a month, a single cartridge therefore covers more than six months: consumable changes become rare, which matters on a shared machine.
How many sheets can the imageRUNNER 2930i hold?
1,200 sheets as standard, which is already considerable, and up to 2,300 sheets with the AW1 Cassette Feeding Unit (two 550-sheet cassettes). On the output side, allow for 250 sheets as standard and up to 645 with the Inner Finisher-L1 and the Copy Tray-T2.
Can the imageRUNNER 2930i staple and punch documents?
Yes, with the optional inner finisher. It adds stapling, hole punching, offset and grouping, as well as eco stapling without metal staples and staple-on-demand, which binds a stack placed by hand. Collating and grouping, for their part, are available without any option.
What paper weight does the imageRUNNER 2930i accept?
Up to 300 g/m² through the multi-purpose tray, 256 g/m² through the cassettes and 220 g/m² in automatic duplex — values well above the average for A3 machines. The multi-purpose tray also takes labels, coated paper and tracing paper, from 52 g/m².
Can you print larger than A3 on this imageRUNNER 2930i?
Yes, up to 304.8 × 457.2 mm through the lower cassette, as a custom size — slightly larger than A3, enough to print a poster with bleed to trim. COM No. 10, Monarch and DL envelopes also go through this cassette, using the supplied envelope feeder attachment.
Is the imageRUNNER 2930i's scanner colour?
Yes, it is a colour scanner, even though printing is monochrome. When sending at 300 dpi, allow for 35 images per minute in black and white and 25 in colour for a single-sided original; in duplex, 12 and 8. The glass accepts a sheet, a book or a three-dimensional object.
Can you scan to a Word file or a searchable PDF?
Yes, and the send function is standard on this model. Output formats include searchable, compact, PDF/A-1b and encrypted PDF, XPS, and Office Open XML — meaning editable Word and PowerPoint files. Destinations: e-mail, SMB 3.0, FTP, WebDAV, USB flash drive, mobile and cloud.
How does the imageRUNNER 2930i connect to the network?
Via Gigabit Ethernet 1000Base-T, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n or Wi-Fi Direct connection for a mobile device without going through the network. Dual network is supported, wired and wireless or two wired connections, and Wi-Fi is secured with WPA3.
What level of security does the imageRUNNER 2930i offer?
It features McAfee Embedded Control, system verification at boot with automatic recovery and runtime intrusion detection. Added to these are TLS 1.3, IPSec, 802.1X, a firewall with IP and MAC filtering, and two-factor authentication for remote administration.
How long does the imageRUNNER 2930i take to get ready?
10 seconds or less at power-on, the same when waking from sleep, and 4 seconds of warm-up. The first copy then comes out in 7 seconds. On an A3 machine of this size, it is a real convenience: it does not keep the user who comes to copy a single page waiting.
How much space should you allow for the imageRUNNER 2930i?
565 × 693 × 852 mm for approximately 65 kg, and an installation space of 1,286 × 1,122 mm with the feeder, finisher and cassettes extended. It is a machine for a dedicated room or a corridor, to be set up permanently: installation takes several people, and it is not moved around day to day.
How much power does the imageRUNNER 2930i use day to day?
1,500 W maximum at peak, approximately 666 W in continuous copying from the feeder, 28.1 W in standby and 0.8 W in sleep mode on a wired connection. The machine carries the Blue Angel label and operates between 10 and 30 °C, at 20 to 80% humidity.
Is the PostScript driver supplied with the imageRUNNER 2930i?
No, it is optional. The standard languages are UFRII and PCL 6; Adobe PostScript 3 and its 136 Roman fonts are added separately. For connected printing, the machine supports AirPrint, Mopria, Canon PRINT Business, uniFLOW Online and Microsoft Universal Print.
What copy functions does the imageRUNNER 2930i offer?
ID card copy, blank page skip, two-page book copy, N-on-1, frame erase, interrupt mode to jump ahead of a job in progress, up to 999 copies and a zoom from 25 to 400% in single-percent steps.
