Frequently asked questions about this product
Do you need an adapter to connect the IMPACT 860T ANC?
No. Its single cable carries both connectors, USB-A and USB-C: it plugs straight into any computer, with no adapter to carry around or lose. The cable is 1.8 m long.
What does this headset's EPOS AI voice pickup bring?
It ensures that your message gets through whatever the level of background noise: the signal processing isolates the voice rather than reducing noise uniformly. The headset meets the Microsoft Teams Open Office specifications.
What is this headset's EPOS BrainAdapt design?
It is the approach aimed at reducing listening fatigue: EPOS claims 40% improved daily efficiency thanks to better reaction times, with no loss of accuracy, when multitasking.
Does the IMPACT 860T's noise cancellation adapt to the environment?
Yes, it is digital hybrid adaptive ANC: it combines internal and external sensors and adjusts its processing to the ambient noise, rather than applying fixed attenuation.
How many microphones does this headset use?
Four, working over a range of 100 Hz to 16 kHz — much wider than the 6 to 8 kHz of an ordinary call microphone. This is what allows EPOS to claim super-wideband stereo sound.
How much does the IMPACT 860T ANC weigh on your head?
159 g, in a binaural on-ear format measuring 211.5 × 74 × 188.5 mm. A modest weight for a headset that packs both active noise cancellation and four microphones.
What does the “T” in IMPACT 860T ANC stand for?
It is the Microsoft Teams certified variant, compliant with the Microsoft Teams Open Office requirements for microphone quality. It is this certification that sets apart the model intended for open-plan offices.
What sound quality can you expect from this headset when listening?
EPOS claims super-wideband stereo sound at an impedance of 20 ohms, with a maximum sound pressure level of 99 dB. The headset aims for intelligibility in meetings rather than raw power.
Is this EPOS IMPACT 860T ANC new and under warranty?
Yes, new in its original EPOS packaging. Your invoice serves as the warranty document and covers 1 year for this model. The headset requires neither a driver nor an adapter: it works as soon as it is plugged in.
