Can you add memory to this HP EliteBook 1040 G11?
No. The 16 GB of LPDDR5x-7500 is integrated into the motherboard: the configuration you buy is final, and no slot is provided. It is the trade-off of a 1.18 kg ultraportable.
What battery life is quoted for this HP EliteBook 1040 G11?
Up to 20 hours. That is a high figure, made possible by a low-power series processor and a low-power 14-inch panel. Charging is via 65 W USB-C, with an adapter that can also charge a phone.
Is the screen on this HP EliteBook 1040 G11 suitable for colour work?
Yes: the 14-inch IPS panel covers 100% of the sRGB colour space and reaches 400 nits, at 1920 × 1200 in 16:10 format. It is anti-glare and features HP Eye Ease, an always-on blue light filter that does not distort colours.
Does this HP EliteBook 1040 G11 have an RJ-45 network port?
No, there is no Ethernet port on this 1.18 kg chassis: wired networking goes through a USB-C adapter. The ports favour USB-C, with two Thunderbolt 4 ports able to handle display, network and charging over a single cable to a docking station.
Is the keyboard on this HP EliteBook 1040 G11 resistant to liquids?
It is stated to be spill-resistant and backlit, with DuraKeys whose legends are designed not to wear off with use. A spilled coffee is therefore not necessarily fatal — a detail that sets a professional range apart.

Mainly soldered memory and the lack of a network port. Otherwise, the machine remains complete: a 400-nit screen covering 100% of sRGB, a spill-resistant backlit keyboard, two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a fingerprint reader for signing in.
Is this HP EliteBook 1040 G11 new and under warranty?
