Non-contractual photos

The visuals on this page are supplied by the manufacturer. They are frequently produced for a whole range — not for the exact model you are viewing: what you see in the photo is never a promise of what is included.

No exchange, return or cancellation will be accepted on the grounds that something seen in a photo (accessory, port, colour, keyboard layout, packaging…) is not found on the delivered product. Only the specifications written on the page are binding for the order.

What the image does not guarantee:

  • Display : the icons, apps and wallpapers shown are simulations; the real interface depends on the software version delivered.
  • In the box : charger, earphones and cable often appear in the images although manufacturers no longer supply them.
  • Version sold : one image serves the whole range: storage capacity, memory, connectivity (4G, 5G, Wi-Fi only) and colour are those of the title and the specifications.
  • Features : the number of camera sensors, a fingerprint reader, dual SIM, a stylus or wireless charging cannot be inferred from the photo.
  • Protection : cases, tempered glass and straps photographed are not included unless stated.
  • Colour : one image often serves several colours, and the shade you see depends on studio lighting as much as on your screen settings; the colour sold is the one in the title and the specifications.
  • Props and accessories : the items shown around the product (cables, stands, decorative objects, content displayed on screen) are not included unless explicitly stated.
  • Packaging : boxes, labels and bundles change with the manufacturer's revisions: the packaging delivered may differ from the one in the photo.

What is binding: the product title, this page's technical specifications, the description and, when provided, the manufacturer's PDF datasheet available in the downloads.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How much of the Galaxy A16's 128 GB is left free?
108.7 GB for your files, with the system and preinstalled apps taking up the difference. This is exactly where the microSD slot comes into its own, as the card can go up to 1.5 TB.
Is the Galaxy A16's microSD slot shared with the SIM?
Yes: the tray is hybrid, its second position taking either a nano-SIM or a microSD card. You therefore have to choose between a second line and extra storage — a choice that really arises on this 128 GB version.
Until when will the Galaxy A16 be updated?
Security support runs until 30 November 2030, as part of the six years of Android and security updates announced. It is a remarkable commitment for a model in this category.
Is 6 GB of RAM enough on the Galaxy A16?
Yes, for the vast majority of uses: messaging, social media, browsing, video and casual gaming. The system keeps more apps loaded than with 4 GB, which limits reloads when you go back to a tab or a conversation.
Can the Galaxy A16 handle getting wet?
Its IP54 rating covers dust and water splashes, not immersion. A downpour and wet hands are no problem, but no bath, no swimming pool and no rinsing under the tap — a step below IP67 and IP68.
What resolution does the Galaxy A16 film in?
In Full HD 1920 × 1080 at 30 frames per second, with slow motion at 120 fps in HD. This resolution covers everyday uses and produces files that are much lighter to store and share than 4K.
What do the Galaxy A16's three cameras capture?
The 50 MP f/1.8 with autofocus covers everyday shots; the 5 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide widens the field of view; the 2 MP f/2.4 macro allows close-up focusing. Zoom is digital up to 10x and crops the image.
Does the Galaxy A16's front camera have autofocus?
No, its focus is fixed: the 13 MP sensor has an f/2.0 aperture, a fairly wide value that helps indoors, but you need to hold the phone at arm's length to get a perfectly sharp portrait.
Does the Galaxy A16 play sound in stereo?
Sound goes through a single speaker, with no stereo effect. Headphones or a speaker bring back the soundstage for a film or a game. Wireless connectivity relies on Bluetooth 5.3, and the USB-C port runs at USB 2.0.
Why a Super AMOLED panel on the Galaxy A16?
Because it physically switches off its black pixels: contrast far exceeds that of an LCD screen, which is immediately visible in a dark film. At 6.7 inches, it is a rare feature at this level of the range, and it also saves battery.
Can the Galaxy A16 be used for contactless payment?
Yes, it has an NFC chip: once your card is registered in a compatible app, the phone takes its place at the payment terminal. Positioning relies on GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo and QZSS.
Is the Galaxy A16 new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document you will be asked for when making a warranty claim.
