Can the Urban Box 2 play without a smartphone?
Yes, in three ways: a USB flash drive or a microSD card of up to 64 GB in MP3, the FM radio with auto-scan, or a wired source on the 3.5 mm jack input.
What do the 10 W of this speaker deliver?
Genuine 2.0 stereo sound: two 40 mm full-range drivers and a dual passive membrane that reinforces the bass, over a 100 Hz to 18 kHz range. It is sized for a bedroom, an office or a terrace table.
How is the Urban Box 2 Jade charged?
Via a micro USB port, not USB-C: keep the 50 cm cable supplied or get a spare one. The 1,200 mAh battery charges fully in 3 hours for 12 hours of music.
Which speakers can it be paired with in stereo?
With a second Urban Box 2 or with the brand's Speaker FS1 model: these are the two declared compatibilities for the True Wireless Stereo function. Each speaker then takes one channel and the sound output doubles.
Can you take a call with the Urban Box 2?
Yes: a built-in microphone handles hands-free calls, and the phone's voice assistant remains accessible from the speaker. The HFP and HSP Bluetooth profiles needed for telephony are supported.
What is in the Urban Box 2 box?
The speaker, a 3.5 mm audio cable, a USB cable, a wrist strap and the quick guide, for 450 g. Its fabric covering stands up to rubbing in a bag better than a bare plastic shell.
Is the speaker new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. Keep the micro USB cable supplied: it is this speaker's charging connector, less common today than USB-C.
