Can this SSD replace the drive in a PlayStation 4?

Yes. The Wave(S) series is intended for desktops, laptops and the PS4. Its 2.5-inch form factor, 7 mm thick, and its SATA III interface match the console's drive bay, and 2 TB holds a complete game library.

What can you store on a 2 TB drive of this type?

It is the capacity that lets you keep an entire media library or a set of backups on a single fast volume, without constantly having to choose between what you keep and what you move. On a PC that is running out of space, it saves you from having to add a second drive.

Will it fit in a laptop's 2.5-inch drive bay?

Yes. It is a 2.5-inch drive, 7 mm thick, the size that laptop drive bays expect, and it weighs no more than 34.4 g. In a tower, it occupies a 2.5-inch bay and connects to a SATA port on the motherboard.

Is this drive sensitive to knocks and drops?

No. Its design is stated to be shock- and drop-resistant: there are no mechanical parts inside, only an electronic controller chip and 3D NAND memory. The rated mean time between failures is 1,500,000 hours.

Does this SSD support TRIM?

Yes. TRIM tells the drive which blocks are no longer in use, allowing it to erase them in advance rather than at the moment of writing. This is what stops an SSD from slowing down as it fills up — something that matters all the more on a high capacity.
