What does “UC” mean on this Evolve2 50?
That it is the multi-platform variant, certified for all virtual meeting tools — Zoom, Google Meet, Chromebook — rather than dedicated to just one. Jabra offers the Evolve2 50 in a UC variant or a Microsoft Teams certified variant.
Can you raise the boom to mute the microphone, and lower it to answer a call?
Yes, both. Raising the boom mutes the microphone; lowering it unmutes the microphone and answers the incoming call — a single movement replaces the answer button. It is the habit that saves a few seconds on every call.
Can the Evolve2 50 be plugged in via USB and connected to a phone at the same time?
Yes. This is dual connectivity: the headset stays plugged into the computer via USB while keeping a Bluetooth 5.2 link to a second device, up to 30 m away. It remembers up to 8 paired devices.
How many microphones does this headset use?
Four on the stereo version — two analogue and two digital MEMS — of which two are dedicated to voice pick-up, driven by a voice separation algorithm. The mono version has three.
