Can you add RAM to this Aspire Go 15?
There is only one memory slot, already taken by the 8 GB DDR5-4800 module: no slot is free. Moving to 16 GB, the maximum supported, therefore means replacing the existing module, not adding a second one. This is the point to settle before buying if you plan to keep the machine for several years.
Is there a second SSD slot, or an SD card reader?
No to both: the PC has only one M.2 slot, taken by the 512 GB PCI Express SSD, and it has no memory card reader and no optical drive. Increasing storage therefore means replacing the SSD, or using an external drive on one of the four USB ports.
Is the keyboard backlit?
No, there is no backlighting: typing in a dark room remains uncomfortable. On the other hand, it is a proper French AZERTY keyboard with a numeric keypad, together with a multi-gesture touchpad — handy for entering figures day to day.
What type of panel does the 15.6-inch display use?
A Full HD TN panel at 60 Hz, anti-glare, with a brightness of 220 cd/m² and BlueLightShield protection. It is designed for indoor office work: at 220 nits, use in direct sunlight or facing a large window is limited. The display is not a touchscreen and shows 1920 × 1080 in 16:9.
Is there an RJ-45 network port?
No, there is no RJ-45 connector. Networking is via Wi-Fi 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) with Bluetooth 5.2. To plug in a network cable, you need a USB-to-Ethernet adapter. The machine also has no modem and no SIM card slot.
What exactly are the ports, and can it be charged via USB-C?
Four USB ports in total: 2 USB 3.2 and 2 USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2, 10 Gbit/s), plus an HDMI output and a headphone/mic jack. Power comes in precisely through USB-C (19 V / 45 W input), with a 65 W adapter included.
Are any accessories supplied with the laptop?
Yes, two: a dark grey 15.6-inch protective sleeve and an Acer wireless mouse, included in the box. The power cord is the continental type (E+F), directly compatible with Moroccan sockets.
What battery life can you expect on the move?
The 3-cell 53 Wh Li-ion battery is rated at 10 hours. At 1.73 kg and 1.99 cm thick, with a USB-C charger, the whole package lasts a day of classes or office work without a bulky power brick. The chassis measures 36.29 × 23.96 cm, and the supplied 15.6-inch sleeve protects it in a bag.
Is there a fingerprint reader to sign in?
No, there is no fingerprint reader. The PC does, however, have a software-based TPM 2.0 for data encryption, and a Kensington lock slot.
What is this Core i3 N355 really suited for?
It is an 8-core processor at 1.9 GHz, 3.9 GHz in Turbo, with 6 MB of cache and an integrated Intel GPU with no dedicated memory. It is aimed at basic office work, web browsing and video. Acer in fact classes the machine outside the AI PC category: there is no dedicated AI accelerator.
Is Windows installed, and can it be reinstalled if something goes wrong?
Windows 11 Home (Single Language) is preinstalled, and a recovery partition on the SSD lets you restore the machine to factory state without external media. Note: the Microsoft suite supplied is a 30-day trial version, not a licence. Plan for a licence if you need it beyond that.

Yes: it is
new, genuine and sealed in its original packaging, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for
1 year (12-month manufacturer warranty). All detailed specifications are in the
Acer datasheet (PDF).
