Do you need an adapter to connect the IMPACT 860 ANC?
No, the USB-C to USB-A adapter is included in the box, along with the 1.85 m wired USB-C cable: the headset plugs into any workstation, with nothing extra to buy.
Does the headset detect when you take it off your head?
Yes, it has on-head detection: it knows whether it is being worn or has been put down. That is what lets the automatic functions respond at the right moment, with no manual action.
How do you mute the microphone on the IMPACT 860 ANC?
By raising the boom: that movement mutes it and lowering it unmutes it. The TalkThrough mode also lets you talk to a colleague without taking the headset off.
How many microphones does this headset use?
Fouradaptive digital microphones, driven by EPOS AI: they adjust their processing to the actual noise in the room to isolate your voice, rather than applying fixed filtering.
Does the noise cancellation adapt to the surroundings?
